About the IMA
Welcome to the International Myotherapy Association - The Path to Pain-Free Living.
The International Myotherapy Association (IMA) was founded in 1984. The IMA is a professional, non-profit organization of Certified Bonnie Prudden Myotherapists and Exercise Therapists. The members who make up the International Myotherapy Association (IMA) are dedicated to helping you back to a pain free life. Mission Statement
The International Myotherapy Association's primary mission is to provide value to Certified Bonnie Prudden Myotherapists and Exercise Therapists (CBPM) through the delivery of professional services, the promotion of Myotherapy as a profession and specialty, and by actively supporting relationships and the exchange of information across the CBPM community. The IMA provides the information, tools, and resources to satisfy its members and ultimately is committed to the delivery of the highest quality care to benefit our patients.
The goal of the IMA is to promote public’s awareness of Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy®. The IMA subscribes to the principles of the Code of Ethics endorsed by the Association including:
To hold quality of care as the primary consideration in the treatment of all patients.
To use the skills, knowledge and experience gained through the practice of Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy®, and Exercise for the improvement of the health of the public.
To participate in continuing education through Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy®, and Exercise for the mutual benefit of the public and our profession.
To participate in the peer review process to encourage the preservation of high standards of quality patient care.
